Our guide Andrew finished this tour with a “flashlight session” on Boston Common. He adjusted his Maglite so that a slight tap would turn the light on and off. He explained that this can cause the flashlight to “arc”(turn on and off by itself normally). This makes the flashlight method of spirit communication very controversial, even within the paranormal community.

Andrew and his guests began posing a few questions to the spirits that are thought to haunt the location. The flashlight started to turn on and off immediately and concisely in response to five or six questions. This was not the usual random on and off we are used to seeing the flashlight exhibit. Then a guest suggested they do something that may help prove whether or not intelligent spirits were manipulating the flashlight… Ask the same questions again and see what the responses are.

The guest asked the last five questions again and the flashlight responded exactly as it had when they first asked them.

Does this help prove that the group had made contact with spirits of dead human beings? Or was it all an incredible coincidence? Most of the guests present believed that what they had witnessed was paranormal. What do you think?
